WOMEN'S RETREATS (continued)
LONG RETREATS
A week or more. Good for making decisions, digging deep within,
healing exhaustion or just merging with the rhythms of life.
WEEKEND RETREATS
Friday to Sunday (3 days together). A good time for checking your
expectations about your Spirituality. A good way to build trust
and bonds with other women. Enough time to process and share what
you have learned about yourself. Enough time to decide what direction
you want to take for further spiritual and emotional personal growth.
A TWO-DAY RETREAT
This retreat could support intentions having to do with getting
a new project going, recovering and trusting your creativity, solving
a problem or alleviating a general depression.
A ONE-DAY RETREAT
This is a good retreat for anyone needing rest, feeling overwhelmed,
ill, or out of balance.
A ONE-DAY GRIEVING RETREAT
A time set aside to grieve. You dont need to be grieving something
specific or tragic. This may be a good choice if you are feeling
depressed, listless, or cut off from your feelings, or if something
final, big or small has occurred.
A ONE-DAY BIRTHDAY RETREAT
Plan a day to celebrate that you are. Divert from the daily routine.
Expand the celebration to a weekend. Celebrate alone, with family,
or friends.
A ONE-DAY RETREAT WITH A FRIEND
Plan a day to reconnect with someone you love and havent seen
for a while, or someone you need to get current with.
A HALF-DAY RETREAT
This retreat is good for women who find they cannot hear their inner
self. It is good if you dont have a clear intention, are especially
nervous about retreating, or have never retreated before.
A HALF-HOUR JUMP-START FOR YOUR CREATIVITY
RETREAT
Do this retreat before beginning work on any creative project, before
going into an important meeting at work, or before spending time
with young children. This retreat can be done in the world, in private
space, or on a walk.
A LUNCH HOUR RETREAT (1/2 to 1 HOUR)
Good time to refocus and recharge for the last half of your workday.
This is also a good way to transition between work and home.
A TWO-MINUTE RETREAT
This can be done wherever you are. This is a good opportunity for
releasing tension and reenergizing your spirit and refocusing your
attention. This can be done every hour without leaving where you
are working.
As the Baby Boomers approach 50+, external truths are emerging over
and over again, in different yet equally urgent forms. Slow down.
Be present. Breathe Deeply. Breathe In, Breath Out. Act from your
Heart. Be in touch with your feelings. Be kind to yourself.
Take the time to join our band of women. Add your name to the mailing
list for the next retreat. Use the opportunity to withdraw, not
only from the concerns of the world and its preoccupation, but from
all incessant monologues and concerns within us, in order for something
else to come into being.
